In an early university course, some friends and I put together a trailer for a made-up movie featuring Matthew McConaughey. The assignment criteria were based around postmodernism or pastiche or some other silly high art concept, which we quickly exploited for an opportunity to make something fun. This was before the days of Rust Cohle or The Dallas Buyers Club and McConaughaughaugha wasn't really considered an "actor" so much as "a guy who leans on ladies in romcom movie posters"
Anyway, our TA really liked the trailer we made, and ended up getting the prof to play it in a lecture to an audience of a few hundred bored freshmen. It got laughs, which really is the best feeling.
I re-discovered the trailer online the other day and thought I'd share it here. It might not be as relevant today, what with McConaughey Hall being one of the more respected Hollywood A-listers, (Interstellar comes out this fall and looks dope) but I still think it's fun.
